Residential Care

Residential care is the level of care when someone is no longer able to live independently at home, without extensive on-site care from a qualified health professional.  It can be a very positive experience for residents, as it can provide reduced social isolation, and ready access to medical, allied health and other care services.  However often decisions regarding residential care need to be made in a short period of time, and it is difficult for the person or their family or friends to research and understand not only the available care options, but how to navigate a complex system, and to determine what options are appropriate for the person’s care and financial circumstances.
